Title of Assignment: Advocacy and Communication specialist

Duration of the contract: 6 months

Background and Justification

The project is aimed to the promotion of INSPIRE strategies in Armenia.

Within the project framework it will be possible to adapt, translate and put in practice the INSPIRE strategies as a tool for ending violence against children, by developing an evidence-based technical package to support the Government in its efforts to prevent and respond to violence against children aged 0-17 years.

The project is implemented by Child Protection Network in cooperation with a Replace Violence with Love Public Campaign to combat violence against children in Armenia[1] which is the Armenian initiative of the Global Ending Violence Against Children (EVAC).

Scope of Work

  • To develop and implement a communication plan for the promotion of INSPIRE among professionals and children.
  • To prepare the necessary handout and training materials for the presentation of the “INSPIRE” within the professionals and children.
  • To prepare visibility materials for the promotion of the INSPIRE. (Visibility materials, such as infographics, visual summaries will be printed to facilitate access to and understanding of INSPIRE; (as well as Create customized advocacy materials for each target group (including, but not limited to videos, publications, brochures).
  • To conduct presentations of the INSPIRE during public events and workshops. (Potential events include the Child protection regional conference aiming to present INSPIRE strategies to the key actors and decision makers).
  • To promote the Project activities and the INSPIRE as a tool in Social media by preparing attractive and target-specific contents.

 

Deliverables:

  • Visibility materials, such as infographics, visual summaries are developed to facilitate access and understanding of INSPIRE
  • Assist the Campaign Comms team in designing customized advocacy materials for each target group,
  • Tailored presentations of INSPIRE strategies for various audiences within this project.

Desired competencies, technical background and experience

  • More than 5 years of experience in the field of PR and communication, preferably connected with the advocacy and Human Rights issues.
  • Experience in working with a multidisciplinary team and dealing with multiply tasks
  • Proficiency in English is required (all working documents are in English)

Administrative issues

The contracting authority for the assignment is Child Protection Network, however the the employee will closely work with the Campaign team.

[1] In February 2017, World Vision Armenia initiated a partnership of twelve major child-focused organizations in Armenia, including UNICEF, Save the Children, SOS children’s villages – Armenia, Children of Armenia Fund, Child Protection Network, Family and Community NGO, Civil Society Institute, Child Support Center of Fund for Armenian Relief, Ombudsman Institute, Child Development Foundation and “Partnership and Teaching” NGO. Two media companies are partners of the campaign: Lratvakan (News) Radio, Yerkir Media TV company. The partnership was formalized by a Memorandum of Understanding of NGOs (both international and national) by becoming a significant component for Ending Violence against Children in Armenia campaign.
